The Hoot History
The Famous Hoot Owl Tavern in Canton, NY was opened on March 10, 1970 by Danny Fay and Billy Helmer after they converted the old ‘New York Central Railroad’ station. The Hoot has tons of history and tradition! Danny has been operating the Hoot since it opened, over 55 years, ensuring everyone always has a ‘Hoot of a Time’!
